Hours Wood & Metal Studio is a wood and metal fabrication company based in Bono Region, Ghana. We design, machine, build and install — all in-house.
One team, from drawing to installation
Most furniture jobs in Ghana pass through several hands — a designer, a separate carpenter, a metal shop across town, someone else to fit it. Every handover is a chance for the brief to drift and for responsibility to get blurry.
We built the studio the other way round. Design, CNC machining, metalwork, carpentry, upholstery and finishing all happen under one roof, and the team that builds a piece is the team that installs it. When something needs adjusting on site, the people who made it are the ones holding the tools.
That is also why we quote in detail and state a lead time up front. You should know what you are paying for and when it arrives before any material is cut.

Where our timber comes from
We work mainly in hardwood bought from sawmills and timber suppliers here in Ghana.
Sourced in Ghana
Our timber comes from Ghanaian sawmills and suppliers rather than arriving in container loads from overseas. The supply chain is short and the money stays in the local economy.
Chosen by hand
Because we buy locally, we see the boards before they come into the workshop. We pick the material ourselves instead of accepting whatever a shipment contains.
Built to be kept
The most sustainable piece of furniture is the one nobody needs to replace. We build solid, we repair what we make, and we stay reachable long after installation.
